Chris Coughlin

Policy Director

Chris Coughlin (she/her) is the Policy Director for Oregon Consumer Justice (OCJ). Chris has extensive policy, advocacy, non-profit and coalition management, communications, and outreach experience, working with community-based organizations, businesses, and political campaigns, as staff, consultant, and volunteer for more than 30 years. Prior to joining OCJ, Chris was the Policy, Advocacy, and Community Engagement Director at Our Children Oregon, where she managed the Children’s Agenda for four legislative sessions. She was drawn to her current position at OCJ because of its commitment to centering communities that are most targeted and harmed by predatory business practices in all aspects of OCJ’s work, including co-creating policy solutions to address consumer injustices. Chris lives with her spouse in Beaverton. Beyond work, Chris enjoys reading, hiking, kayaking, attending live theater, and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
