Founding board chair transitions role

Founding chair of the board of Oregon Consumer Justice, Judge Henry Kantor, has transitioned off the Board of Directors effective October 31, 2022. The conclusion of his service culminates over six years of dedication, determination, and passion on behalf of Oregon consumers. His leadership and commitment to the organization’s ideals have been fundamental to OCJ’s foundation and our next steps. We are grateful that Henry will continue associating with OCJ as an active participant on our Legal Projects Committee!

Legal Director recognized for legal excellence

OCJ celebrates the selection of Robert Le, long-time consumer protection trial attorney, and OCJ’s Legal Director, as a member of The National Trial Lawyers – Civil Plaintiff: Top 40 Under 40 Trial Lawyer in the state of Oregon. This distinguished honor is given to only the top 40 under 40 attorneys for their superior qualifications, trial results, and leadership as young criminal defense and civil plaintiff lawyers. The National Trial Lawyers congratulates Mr. Le for demonstrating superior qualifications, leadership skills, knowledge, and success.

UofO Event Panelist

Robert was a panelist on Friday, November 4, at the Consumer Protection Symposium hosted by the University of Oregon School of Law. Panel topics included consumer decision-making and psychology, housing, privacy, environmental justice, and market access and regulation.

OCJ in the news

“Many of these large-scale acquisitions and mergers quite often result in a negative impact for consumers,” Jagjit Nagra, executive director of Oregon Consumer Justice, said. “Given that in the last few years we’ve seen not only rising inflation but rising costs across the board, for people living on fixed incomes or for people from vulnerable communities, this is very troubling.”
