Consumer justice requires time, commitment, resources, and, most importantly, intentional, trust-based relationships. At OCJ, we prioritize authentic connections across all our efforts to advance our mission. These meaningful collaborations with community partners, organizations, lawmakers, elected officials, the legal community, and consumers themselves, drive our work forward.
Consumer power through coalition
The Consumer Alliance of Oregon, convened by OCJ, brings together community-based organizations, nonprofits, subject matter experts, and national advocacy groups to collectively champion the rights and interests of Oregon consumers through pro-consumer legislative efforts. This will include promoting fair, transparent, and equitable laws and regulations that protect consumers from unfair practices and advocating for stronger consumer protection policies and effective enforcement of existing consumer laws.
It is vital that diverse groups from all over the state are at the table and engaged in the conversation to move the needle for consumers. The consumer coalition focuses on helping those most affected by unfair practices, including communities of color, low-income individuals, and older Oregonians.
Achieving consumer justice requires all of us to work together. If you're interested in the coalition or collaborating on behalf of Oregon consumers, please reach out.
