- they/them
Megan (they/them) is a lifelong admirer of the Pacific Northwest and a natural community builder at heart. Their journey began in public education, where they advocated for students and families while witnessing firsthand how the system often fell short of truly serving its communities. With over 13 years of experience in education, Megan brings a deep commitment to justice, knowledge sharing, and collective care to their current role as Advocacy Cohort Lead at Oregon Consumer Justice.
Growing up in a multiracial, multilingual household shaped Megan's understanding of the power of inclusive, culturally grounded spaces. They cultivate this shared power today by building and sustaining meaningful relationships with partners, allies, and community members that center lived experiences.
Megan holds a bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from Oregon State University. They currently live in Salem with their child, partner, and a lively crew of pets. Outside of work, you'll likely find them making or collecting art, cooking beloved Latine recipes, or getting lost in the natural beauty all around Oregon!
