Earlier this month we celebrated and said our goodbyes to our spring policy interns. This talented group of individuals supported our policy team throughout the 2024 short legislative session and have contributed their research skills to strengthen our knowledge base of consumer policy issues.

Our policy team is joined this winter by two new interns in their last year of law school: Taylor Westlund (she/her) and Devon Gonzalez-Yoxtheimer (they/them).

Founding Oregon Consumer Justice board member, Justin Baxter, has stepped down from our Board of Directors following his significant tenure, offering tremendous service and leadership to this organization.

Building on the incredible contributions of our first interns during the summer months, OCJ welcomes two new interns, Alyssa and Max, and one returning extern, Megan Bryant-Tiktin to join the policy team this fall.

Communications Director Michelle Luedtke attended and spoke at The Communications Network’s annual conference, ComNet23, in Atlanta in late September 2023. As part of the closing keynote, she joined peers from across the country in making the case for comms leadership.

It was our great pleasure this summer to host OCJ’s inaugural policy interns, law students Megan Bryant-Tiktin (Lewis & Clark Law School), and Samantha Formica (Willamette University College of Law).

A year of planning, growth, and impact.

We are excited to announce OCJ’s inaugural interns joining our policy team in May and continuing through mid-August: Megan Bryant-Tiktin and Samantha Formica.
