We are excited to welcome Lisa Watson as OCJ’s new Associate Director. Lisa is a seasoned leader with over two decades of experience in operations, strategy, and team management. Her extensive resume showcases her passion for social justice and commitment to cultivating inclusive organizational cultures.

Most recently, Lisa served as the Director of the Office of Equity and Human Rights at the City of Portland, where she overhauled hiring and onboarding practices, led equity efforts on multiple citywide workgroups and committees, and provided advice and perspective to support the efforts of elected officials and equity managers to center the city’s core values in their bureau’s work.

As the Associate Director of Oregon Consumer Justice, Lisa will provide day-to-day leadership, oversight, and decision-making for internal operations, lead strategic planning efforts with staff and the board, and track key metrics in relation to equity, policy, and program goals while inspiring people at all levels of the organization as a champion of OCJ’s culture and values.

”I am thrilled to join this talented team of passionate leaders and advocates. OCJ’s efforts to protect and fight for the rights of consumers, particularly those most often targeted by predatory systems and practices, are critical to serving the cause of justice.” Lisa shares. “I can’t imagine a more rewarding role as we all work together to create a more just Oregon.”

We are thrilled to have Lisa join OCJ. Her experience and passion will help OCJ achieve its goals and deepen its impact across Oregon in the years to come. Please welcome Lisa Watson to the Oregon Consumer Justice team, effective July 3.
