OCJ is pleased to announce the promotions of two key team members: ReJeana Orr and Chris Coughlin. ReJeana steps into the role of Director of Executive Office Operations, and Chris into the position of Policy Director.

ReJeana Orr — Director of Executive Operations

ReJeana joined OCJ in the fall of 2020 as our Executive Assistant and Administrator, bringing tremendous experience from the government, business, and non-profit sectors. In her new role as Director of Executive Office Operations, ReJeana will apply an equity lens across human resources support, administrative staff supervision, office operations, and high-level administrative support to the Executive Director and senior staff. ReJeana deeply understands complex systems and masterfully navigates their intricacies to create transparent and efficient processes and protocols while creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere.

“Simply put, ReJeana brings joy to my work and makes me far more effective. I look forward to every one of our meetings. Her work is exceptional, and she also has an uncanny ability to make me belly laugh! Moreover, her emotional intelligence and sensitivity to the needs of staff and the organization are unparalleled.” — Jagjit Nagra, Executive Director

Chris Coughlin—Policy Director

In September 2021, Chris joined OCJ as our Policy and Legislative Lead. Chris brings a wealth of experience to OCJ as a champion for justice and a seasoned lobbyist respected by her peers, coalition and community partners, and the legislature. In her new position as Policy Director, Chris will provide leadership, supervision, and support to the OCJ Policy Team, including launching the Consumer Justice Policy Internship/Fellowship Program. The program will introduce individuals from communities often historically excluded from decision-making positions to policy and legislative work.

“Chris is one of the kindest, most brilliant, and most approachable people I have ever met. Her depth of understanding across a vast array of issues is obvious, and her commitment to uplifting marginalized voices is evident in the work she does every day.” — Jagjit Nagra, Executive Director

Join OCJ in celebrating ReJeana and Chris in their new roles in service of our mission and the people of Oregon. OCJ is beyond fortunate to have them on our team.
